AKAROA BOROUGH ASSESSMENT COURT.

Makch 7, 1882.

Before J. Aylmer, Judge,

The hearing of this Court took place at the Court House, Akaroa, at the above date.

The following business was transacted:—

Mr Sims, Vainer, applied to have William J. Aylmer's name entered on the roll for sub-sections one, two, and three, part of section 216, at rateable value of £12 10s—(granted).

J. Avliner applied to have his name inserted on the roll for sub-sections nine and ten, part of section 216—(granted).

H. L. Aylmer applied to have his name placed on the roll for sub-section 23, part of section 216.—(granted).

Samuel Fyle objected to the valuation of part section 216, of which he was the occupier—''valuation sustained).

VV. Meech applied to have his name entered on the roil as occupier of Oddfellows' Hall, Akaroa —(granted).

Thomas Whelch complained that he was not the occupier of the section occupied bythe Chinese, for which his name appeared on the roll.

Mr Whelch not appearing, his name was retained on the roll as owner.

Ferdinand Halm objected to the valuation of his property in Lavaud street— (valuation sustained).

George Armstrong objected to the valuation of his house and shop in Lavaud street —(reduced from £20 to £18).

George Armstrong objected to the valuation of two shops and dwelling house in Bead) street and Church street—(valuation reiuced from £40 to £35).
