CORN EXCHANGE.

The following is from the report for the week endi.ig Friday, Sept. 16 :—There is no alteration to note in the state of the market, and values are unchanged.

Wheat—Good sound milling wheat is worth from 4s 6d to 5s 9d per bushel, f.0.b.; second quality. 4s to 4a 3d per bushel, f.o.b. ; chick wheat, 2s9il to 3h 3d per bushel. Oats—Good stout milling, 2s 3d to 2s 4d per bushel, f.0.b.; feed samples, Is 10d to 2.s per bushel, delivered in Christchurch, The market is flat. Barley—Gocd malting samples are being inquired for, and are saleable from 2s 9d to 3s 3d per bushel f.o.b. ; second mte malting 2s 3d to 2s 6d per bushel ; feed, Is 9d to 2s per bushel, delivered in Christchurch. Potatoes—Business in the tuber is completely at a standstill ; piices nominal. Grass Seed—A few parcels are still on offer, with buyers hardly so eager. Wellcleaned parcels range from 5s 6d to 6s por bushel, indiferently cleaned according to sample. ■Cheese nnd Butter—The former is dull of sale at 3d to 3£d per lh. The latter, on account of the new being in the market, makes'the keg butter almost unsaleable.
