Messrs H. Matson and Co. report :— On Thursday, at our Canterbury Wool Stores, we held our usual weekly sale of the above, values are as per quotations as tinder, viz.:—Butchers' best cross-bred skins, Ga 3d, to 6- 9d each ; second quality £>$, to 6s 2d each ; medium, 4a, to 4s lid each. Butchers' best merinos 4s, to 53 Id «>ach ; second m-ialjty, 3s 3d, to 3s lid each; medium', 2s 3d, to 2s lid each. Best country skins made 4s Gd to 6s 6d each ; ordinary ditto, is 9d, to 4s 3d each. Pelts and badly saved skins, Is, to 1* 9d each. Butchers' best dry rough fat, 2\<\ to 2|d per lb; second quality, 2d to 2£d per lb ; inferior and heated, l£d, to l|d per lb. Lard, 22 bags clean leaf at 2|d peril). Hides, sidtet. 4.1 per ll> damaged hided. 2k- per lb; calfskins, 41 per lb: tallow iifbags, tins and packages. 2d, to 2|d per lb ; tallow in casks, from 18 , to 24s Gd per cwt.
