Wellington, July 28
Another heavy slip occurred on the Wellington Masterton line yesterday afternoon. Several hundred tons of earth Game down, covering the line for n distance of three chains. A gang of mea went to work this morning to clear away the debris. It is expected the line will be clear by to-morrow. Timaru, July 28. On Tuesday night some one entered Mr Reeves , house on his farm at Otaio. A cashbox containing valuable papers of no use to any one but the owner, was found with the lid burst open, lying on the gravel walk in front of the house the next morning with its contents intact. Mr Reoves lives alone, but his servants reside on the premises. Pour savage dogs are kept, but strange to say, allowed the thief to enter unmolested. The police are investigating the burglary. DfjNRDiN. July 28. The Equitable Investment Company have declared a. dividend of 10 por cent. A five roomed houso at Piiiracrston. belonging to Mr J. Jjeiliune has beeu burnt down. It was insured in the National Insurance Company for £IRK
