It lias boon arranged that the division on Mr Oimond's amendment will take place to-night. The numbers will probably be 41 for the amendment and 45 against it. Mr Driver, who is absent and not paired, would vote for the amendment if present. The numbers would then be 42 against 45. Messrs Weston, Snunders, Richardson, and others have declared against the Roads Construction Bill, and therefore the Government measures will no doubt bo withdrawn after the voto of to- night. Probably the Distribution of Seats Bill, the Corrupt Practices Prevention Bill, and some minor measures will be carried, supplies granted for three months, and dissolution take place as soon as the electoral rolls Jfor the new districts can be
procured.
