There wns a fair attendance or. buyers nt the Addin»ton yards on Wednesday, and the bulk of the stock yarded changed hands at prices a shade below hitj rate*. 4840 sliopp. 312 head of catt c. and 243 .pigs came forward for the week's supply. Sheep. —The bulk of the sheep comprised £ood and medium quality fat cross-bred wethers, and in consequence of tho limited supply at last week's sale there was brisk competition for them. Prime quality cross-breds realised 17s each ; good ditto from 13s to lls9d ; medium ditto from 10s 6d to 12s 3d. Prime merino wethers sold at 11s 9d ; good ditto, 10s. We quote ■mutton at 2id per lb as an average foi fat sheep. No stores came to hand. Cattle. —There was a good supply of fat cattle, but a great want cf animation was experienced in the biddings for this description, anil many lots, not reaching owners' reserves, were passed in unsold. Others found buyers at prices a shnde below late rates. We quot < beef at 20s per 100 II s. Tho stores, which were in small supply, found buyers nt last week's prices.
