CORN EXCHANGE REPORT.
The following is from the report for the week ending Friday April 8:— Gross Seed.—Tlie demand continues active, with but few parcels offering ; wellcleaned farmers' samples are worth from 3s 6d to 4s per bushel ; indifferently cleaned according to sample. Potatoes.—Tlie market has not fairly opened, only a few small lots having changed hands, excepting those sales which take place for forward delivery. The few snles which have been made have been at from 3;5s to 3os per ton at country stations within n radius of seven or oiyjht miles of Christchureli.saeks extra. Tlie tone of the market is linn. Cheese and Butter. —The former is extremely dull of sale at 3d to 3£d per lb ; the latter li£d to 7d per lb. Hay.—£2 10s qer ton.
