WOOL, SHEEPSKINS, FAT. HIDES, AND TALLOW REPORT.
Messrs 11. Matsori and Co. report: —On Thursdny, at our Canterbury Wool Stores, ■we held our nsiinl weekjy sale of the above. Quota ions as under, viz.:—
' Butchers' best cross-bred skins, made 3s 6d to 3s lOd each ; second quality, 2s fid to 3s 4d each ; medium, Is (id to 2s od each ; butchers' best merinos, -Js to 2s 8d each ; second quality. Is6d to Is lid each; medium, 10*1 to Is 5d each ; inferior and dry skins, either cross bred or merino, made from Id to ltd each ; butchers' best dry rough fat, 2{d to 2§d per lb ; one line, second quality, 2|d, and one line infciior, lfd per lb. The quality of the fat, and the price (.btained, was the most even we have had for months. Salted hides, per lb ; damaged hides, 2;Vd ; calfskins, 4d per lb ; tallow, 2d to* 2jjil per H>; wool, in hales, sold from G£d to BJd per lb ; lambswool, 7d to per lb ; pieces, 2d to s.}d per lb ; locks, Id to ?M per lb. ' Abont 20 bales of wool were withdrawn.
