LONDON SEED MARKET.
Messrs John Shaw & Sons, of 77, Mark 1 ne, London, report through their agent, Mr Leonard Blake, of Christchurch, that the seed trade for the foil night ending February 24 was quiet, a return of unfavorable weather naturally keeping back the consumptive demand. Tho stocks of rod clover continued moderate, the arrivals from America being me- gre. More business was passing in white clover, a decline in value having l>rmi<riit forward buyers. Fine alsykc- was meeting with more enquiry. The supply of timothy was limited. As regards canary, holders, despairing of any improvement in the demand, were clearing out at a sacrifice.
