LICENSING COURT.
The adjourned quarterly meeting of the Licensing Court was held laet Tuesday at the Court house, Akaroa. The Commissioners present were —the Resident Magistrare, and Messr3 A. C. Knight, W. B. ToßSwill, and G. H. Saxton. Tl*e latter gentleman has lately heen appointed to the office to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr Fenton.
A transfer of the license of the Little Akaloa Hotel from H. Mclntosh to T Connon was granted.
No formal complaints were made against any of the licensed houses, though in regard to one of them it was mentioned that certain matrimonial infelicities interfered somewhat with tho proper management of the house.
Mr Tosawill called attention to the fact that the quality of liquora sold was in many instances suspectible of improvement, and the Court adjourned.
