CIVIL CASES,
Masefield v. Harper; claim, £100, for damages caused by a fire, alleged to have been lighted by defendant's servants. Mr Nalder appeared for defendant.
This case had been adjourned for judgment. His Worship now gave judgment as follows :—ln this case there is no evidence to show that the fire which did the comp!aiued-of dam ige wn-.~ lighted by any of defendant's party. I wi! therefore give judgment for defendant, with costs. —The costs amounted to £25 18s.
