LITTLE RIVER RACES.
A well attended meeting was held at Mr Olphert's Like Forsyth Hotel on Saturday evening last the 29th ult, to make arrangements for races at Little River. 11. I). Buchanan, Esq., was in the chair. The treasurer reported, the sum of £5 3s Gd in hand from previous year's meeting. The following resolutions were passed, vh —That the balance now on baud (i_s 3s 6d) be parsed to the credit of the present year's races ; that the races be held on Friday, March 25 next ; that subscription lists be sent out. A good working C mmittee. with power to add to their number, was elected. The Secretary was insl moled to write to a number of gentleman, requesting them to act as stewards. Resolutions to the following effect were passed, viz.—That Mr F. H. Digby be requested to act a s haudicapper; that Mr A. D. Allan be asked for the use of the course ; that the next meeting be held on Saturday, Feb. 5 next, for the purpose of fixing programme! etc. The meeting then adjourned.
