WOOL, SHEEPSKINS, HIDES AND TALLOW REPORT.

"Messrs TI. Mutson and Co. report:—On Ihnrsday at our Canterbury Wool Stores we held our usual weekly sale of tho above. There was an average attendance of fellwiongere, and prices may still be quoted as highly satisfactory to the vendors. Our , catalogue consisted of 18G8 sheepskins, 118 bags of rough fat, 72 hides, a few bags and packages of tallow, and several bags and fudges of wool, the whole of which were quoted at the following prices, viz.—Butchers' best crosa-breds, Gs 3d to Ga 10d each ; second quality, 5s 4d to Gs ■2d each ; medium, 4s 3d to 5s 3d each. Butchers' best merinos made Gs to Gs 5d each ; 6eoond quality, 5a to 5s lld each ; medium, 3s Gd, to 4s lid. Best pelts made Gd to 7d each ; second quality, 3d, 4d, and 5d each. Best lambs made Is 5d each ; second quality. Is 4d ; medium, Is to Is 2d each ; inferior, 5d to 9d each. Country skins —Debt made from 5s Gd to (6a 10d each ; others at prices as per description. Butchers' beat rough fat made '2£d to 2jd per lb; second quality, 2d ; inferior, l|d to ljjd per lb. Tallow in bags and packages, 2d to 2fd per lb. Wool, fadges, superior merino aril Ist pross, mixed, made 10d ; several bags made from 7£d to S)£d per lb and pieces to s|d. Hides, sound, B£d per lb ; damaged, do, 2£d per lb ; calfskins, 4d per lb.
