WOOL, SHEEPSKINS, HIDES AND TALLOW REPORT.

Messrs H. Matsori and Co. report :—On Inured ay at our Canterbury Wool Stores w& held our μ^ual .weekly sale of tho above. There was an average attendance, of feljniongers, but owing, no doubt, to tho fact that niOiJtofjtheinthad j'ist: Tjecpived their English returns,'which were not altogether satisfactory, the values of both sheepskins and rough fai'in the earlier part of our sale, recedodi-td a considerable extent ; most of the reduction was, however, received before our sale, which was a very .protracted orie, was completed..'' Our catalogue consisted of 2261 sheepskins, 132 bags of rough fat, 81 hides, a few bales and'bag's of wool and casks and packages tallow, the whole oE which were disposed ,<jf alquytationsas follows, viz.,; Butchers' best cross-breds made Cs 3d to 6s n< 1 , one email but good line making 8s Iα 4ach • second quality madejis 4d tb.Gs 2d each ; medium; 3s 9d to, 6s 3d each.
