A pleasant break in the wet weather re<cently expirionced occurred on Wednesday, ntxl ac a consequence :there was. a 'large attendance at the Addington sale. The stock yarded comprised 4482 sheep, 720 cattle, and 52 pigs. yi, ce p,__There was rather a small supply of fat tsheep, and the majority of these were shorn cross-breds, the best of which realised 12s, good do from 10s to 11s 3d. Merinos in the wool sold up to 13s 6d. We quote mutton at l|d per lb shorn, and 2fd in. Stores, were, in Jaige supply. Merino ewes, with lambs at foot Teaiised O^ , * iross-breft* do 1 , 13s Gd. A large number of lambs were brought forward, and piime-lots sold up to 12s, olhors at 53 Gs to Da. 7' Cdttle.«Fot cattle were considerably in excess of rc-quiiainento, and therefore did not command high rate?. Prime bullocks .realised up to £ ( J 10d ; good do, £8 6s to £8 17s Gd. We quote prime beef at 22s 6d per 100 lb. O£ stoiea there was the largest entry and best Jill-ronnd quality of "the season.
