AKAROA WHARVES.
To the Editor.
Sir, —I am somewhat astonished at the want of energy displayed by the Akaroa Borough Council, in not at once tackling the question of .the Akaroa wharves. Are they to be allowed to fall to pieces before our eyes? For what did the ratepayers elect the members of the Council,' but to protect bur interests in every way? Surely this is a question that should receive more consideration than it doee.—l
am, etc.,
RESIDENT.
