WOOL, SHEEPSKINS, HIDES AND TALLOW REPORT.

Messrs 11. Matson and Co. report. —On Thursday at our Canterbury Wool Stores we held our usual weekly sale of the abov«. Tbe attendance of tho fellmongers was limited, notwithstanding which prices were fully as high ap la«t week. Our catalogue consisted of 3697 sheepskins, IG7 bags rough fat, 82 hides, a few bags wool, and several casks and packages of tallow, tho whole of which were disposed of at tho following satisfactory prices, viz. :—Butcher*' best cross-breds made Ga Gd, 6s 9d, 7s, and two very heavy lines made respectively 7s 3d and 7s 8d each ; second quality made 5s 3d to 6s 3d ; medium. 4s to 5s 2d each ; butchers' best merinos made 5s 3d to 5s 9d, and a line of GG skins made Gs each : second quality, 4s 3d to 5s 2d each ; medium, 2s 9d to As 2d each. Country skins made—for best. 5s Gd to 7s 5d each ; others from Is to 5s 5d each. Best rough fat niado to 2 7 -16d per lb ; second quality, to per lb. none under. Suited hides, a special line, 3|d per lb. general average, 3Ad per lb ; damaged hides, 2£d per lb ; calfskins, 4'J-d per lb. Wool, in hags, 6}d to per lb. Tallow, in bags. 2d to 2fd per lb ; do, in casks, 18s to 24a Gd per cwt.
