Messrs 11. Matsoti and Co. report: —
The Addington salo on Wednesday last was largely nttended. Over six thousand sheep were brought forward, all of which, strange to say, were fat, nut a single store being yarded. Considering tliia large supply, the bidding was brisk, and very satisfactory prices were obtained. Cattle were not so numerous) as usual.
Sliuep.—Some very prime lots wore offered, tind the best lines of croas-hrais sold up to 19dGl : goo.l ditto, 15-* to 17s Gl; merinos of extra prime quality realised 15s 3d ; good do, 12s 3d. We quote mutton at 3d per Ib.
(JiUtlo. —Notwithstanding the small supply cattle were dull of nalo, this baing probably due to the large number disposed of last week. Extra prime bullocks sold up to £12. We quote beef at 22s per 1001b. Stores were in fair supply, but as prices did not reach owners' expectations, many of them were passed in. Two yearolds sold up to £4 5s ; yearlings, £2 15s and £3 ; calves, £1 15s.
Pigs.—There was a little better enquiry for pigs, which realised up to £3 10s.
