STOCK REPORT.
The trade and graziers mustered in - strong force at the Addington Yards on Wednesday, when 4491 nheep, 231 cattle, and 107 pigs wero entered for sale. The , competition for sheep was fairly good, and for cattle very keen. Sheep.—The bidding for fat sheep was not «o lively as at tho previous salo, and except for special lines there was a slight drop in prices. There waa a good supply -of prime mutton, and a lot of extra large cross-breds realised 19s 6d each , good do, lGs ; merinos sold up to 13s We quote mutton at 2|d per lb. -here wore no stor«s of any consequence in the market. Cattle.—Beef waß in very limited supply and the various lots accordingly excited keen competition. We quote prime quality at 30s per 1001b. There is ftbill a keen inquiry for stores. Two-year-olds sold -t£3 10s Gd, and springers up to *£7 10a.
Pigs.—The demand for piga continues to decrease, and prices have again fallen a little. Thoy sold at prices ranging up to £3 10h.
