STOCK REPORT.
There wan a full attendance of the trade at the Aldington Tards gon Wednesday, and the supply of stock being short, the competition forgall lines was very keen. Sheep.—The bulk of the sheep yarded were of fair quality, but some were extra prime. Fat wethers Bold at prices ranging up to 17s Gd each, which is the highest price realised this season. Those sheep were from Mr Coster's farm at the Rakaia. We quote mutton at 2|d per lb. The few stores to hand sold Well. Merino ewes, full and broken mouthed, sold at Gs each.
Cattle. —There was a good supply of fat cattle, but the quality was not up to that of recent supplies. The bidding was, however, very keer. Prime beef realised 23s per 1001b. There was an inquiry for forward conditioned stores. A few lots changed hands at prices ranging up to £4 12a 6d.
