GRAIN AND PRODUCE.

Although the past week has been quiet, business in the grain market has shown in certain lines a little more life. Wheat.—Quotations for wheat remain nt 8s 6d for goed milling, and 3s 3d to 3s 4d for average samples, but the busineee passing throtigh hands: has not been important. Feed samples are plentiful, and aro selling at 4Je-for low and up to 2s 8d for better kinds. Oats.—A alight improvement can be noted in this -grain. Although values have not been effected to any great eitent, yet parcels of certain classes are more readily looked at by buyers. Good feed are quoted at Is 3d to Iβ 4d, while milling are readily saleable at Iβ sd. Several lines o£>only moderate feed quality have been quitted at Is 2d to Is 2£d. Barley.—The .market for this grain is unaltered. Urrst-class is saleable up to 3h 3d, while good malting commands 2e 6d to 2s 9d ; lower grades range from Iβ 6d to 2a. Considerable shipments' of barley are now being tried'to England, and with greater facility -in obtaining freight, the export may help to relieve [»] slight measure the, glut. ~., \ ' ; , A Potatoes.— sales for immediate deivery are reported,at 22s 6d't<f 25e.
