We have little or no Alteration to note in the grain market, business presenting no contrast to the quietness marking the transactions Of theprevious week.

Wheat.T-The< price of wheat remains at last week's quotation "of 3s 6d for firatclasß lots. 'Good average quality is quoted at 3s 4d to 3s*6d. The market, however, is not at all active, and no great eagerness is exhibited in operating. Chick wheat has been sold during the week in considerablequaritity at 2s 3d to 2a 6d for low to medium, and for the better class up to 2s lOd haS beetugiven. Oats.—Fair sales are reported, but at rates which do not show any improvement in value. Good feed are worth Is 2d to Is 3d, and best descriptions &£ heavy milling Is 4d to la 4id. Barley.—We'have nothing new to chronicle in connection-with this grain. If it were possible to reach a lower depth in values the week * has seen it. Inferior quality is next door to unsaleable, only. %he best being looked at. Potatoes have been-sold largely since our last report, at prices ranging between 25s and 27s 6d, according to the quantity and place' of delivery. Grass Seed.—-A few sales can be recorded within the last few days, at Current quotations. The market otherwise is -wholly • unchanged, Dairy Produce:—Butter, B£d to 9d ; • cheese, 4d to sd.
