STOCK REPORT.

There was a very large attendance at the Addington Yards on Wednesday, and the bidding generally was of a spirited character.

Sheep.—The bulk of the sheep yarded were fat crossbreds of prime quality, with a small proportion of very fine merinos, -which made 10s 9d each, the crossbreds realising up to 'lis 6d each. We quote mutton at 2d per lb. The stores consisted of full and broken mouthed sheep, which soldatfrom'4s'6d , "to'6B each. There was a good enquiry. for.young stores, but n.ono -came to hand. Cattle.—The competition for fat cattle of prime quality was a shade better than last week. We quote'beef at 17s 6d per 100 lbs. Stores were in very limited supply, but there-was no enquiry, and the bulk were turned out unsold. Pigs.—A large number of pigs were yarded, and they sold at prices quite equal -to those realised last week. CORN EXCHANGE REPORT. The following : isthe report for the week ending Friday evening, May 21,1880 :— Oats.—Small parcels are looking for buyers at from Is 3d to la 4d per bushel, but buyers are not eager. Inferior land feed-samples will not command over Is 2d to 1b 3d per bushel.

Potatoes.—Only email salesare reported Buyers appear to be operating with great caution." Producers are in many instances equally unwilling to do business at the prices offered, and are pitting in anticipation of better things to come.
