STOCK REPORTS.
There was a small attendance of tho trade at the Addington Yards on Wednesday last. The bidding for sheep was dull, but cattle fared better. Owing to a great proportion of the beef brought forward being sold privately, there was a brisk competition for that offered at auction.
Sheep.—A fall in mutton was experienced, equal to Is to lsGd per head ; Best quality realised at the rp.te of per lb ; medium, per lb. Stores were cleared at fair rates, considering the quality, which was not good. Lamha were taken up readily at from 5s to 8s each.
Beef. —Best quality sold for 21s, and medium at 18a per 1001b. Stores were cleared with difficulty at a reduction on last week's prices. Pigs are still scarce, and were keenly . competed for.
