CORN EXCHANGE REPORT.
The following is the corn exchange report for the week ending Friday evening, Feb. 27 :—
Wheat.—Sales have been effected during the week at equal to 4s. f .o.b. Barley is in better supply.
Prime mailing quality will command 3r 8d to 3s 9d per bushel; medium to inferior samples aro not much sought after. Oats are coming forward very slowly. Prime milling samples are saleable in limited quantities at Is Gd ; feed parcels at Is 3d to is sd.
Grass seed is in better demand, but the large quantity offering precludes any improvement in price. Cocksfoot is a complete drug, although the samples offering aro all that could be desired as to quality, while the price is absurdly low, and such as will not compensate the grower. Prices aro nominal.
Cheese and butter.—There is no change to note in the former article, 4d to 5d per lb being the prices at which business is done. For the latter a better feeling is envinced by purchasers. For outside demand parcels are saloable at from 7d to Bd.
