LOCAL MARKETS.
Messrs H. Bennetts & Co. report on the Live Stock market for the week ending Thursday, Jan. 8, as follows:—At the Addington Yards on Wednesday, the numbers yarded were GSBB sheep, GOl head of cattle, and 48 pigs. In sheep, there was little or no alteration since last sales. Fat c; ttle.—Notwithstanding there only being a fair supply yarded, prices ruled very low, it being one of the most spiritless sales we have known for some time. For stores the prices ruling were about the same as last week. Onr entries were 189 sheep, 124 head of cattle, and 21 pigs. The following were the prices obtained:— Sheep : 189 at Cs. Fat cattle :Gat £7 17s Gd, 4 at £7 2s Gd. 2 at £7, 4 at £G 15s, 2at £6 10s, 1 at £G 2s Gd, 3 at £5 10s, 1 at £5 12a Gd, 2 at £5 2s Gd ; stores, 10 at £3 10s, 3 at £3 15s, G at £3, 4 at £4, 7 at £2 13s, 5 at £2 2s, 22 at £2 ; springers from £4 to £5 ss. Pigs : 7 at £2 12s Gd, 2 at 2Gs, 6 at 21s Gd, G at 20s.
