At the Addington yards on Wednesday, 4243 sheep, 608 head of cattle, and 71 Digs were yarded. Sheep.—The supply of fat sheep wag flgttiu very large, and although there was a large attendance of the butchering trade, there was very little competition for various lots offered, and in consequence many of the vendors of fat stock preferred withdrawing on chance of a better market nest week. Prime crossbreds in the wool were dull of sale at 14s'; good do, lls6d ; prime do (shorn), 9s ; good do, from 7s 6d to Bs. We quote 2d per lb aa an average for fat sheep in the wool, shorn do l|d. -Fat Lambs—A large supply came forward, and best pens realised 9s ; others, from 3s Gd to. Gs. ■ Cattle.—A large supply came forward of fat and store cattle ; the bidding for fat stock was animated. We quote 28s per 1001b as an average for prime quality ; second do, 265.
