At the Addington yards on Wednesday, 5543 sheep, 609 head of cattle, and 51 pigs were yarded. Sheep.—There was a large supply of fat sheep, tre bulk of which were shorn. There was a downward tendency in the prices of all descriptions. Prime crossbreds in the wool realised 14s 6d 'each ; good ditto, 12s ; fair quality and light weights, from 8s 6d to 9s 6d ; best quality (shorn) wethers from 8a 6d to Qβ % good ditto, 7s 6d. Prime merinos (in the wool) were dull of sale ; a few pens were quitted at 10s 6d each. We quote a shade over 2<l-per lb as an average for fat *heep in the wool, and l£d per lb for shorn sheep. Several lines of cross-bred ewes, with lambs at foot, changed hands at from 10s 6d to lls 3d. Fat lambs—a large supply came to hand, which brought from 6s 6d to 9s according to quality. • Cattle.—A largo supply of good and prime quality fat cattle were yarded. Best pontfof bullocks realised £1110s per head ; good* ditto, from £8 5s to £10. We quote 28s per 1001b as an average for prime fat cattle ; second quality, 265. Stores— about 200 head of fair conditioned store cattle were penned. There was a noticeable improvement in the prices of two and three-year-olds, which descriptions changed hands at from £5 5s 'to £6 per head.
