The,.following is the report of the Corn Exchange for the week ending Friday evening, Sept. 12:— . The decidedly favorable prospects which at present exist of a good harvest, combined with the probability of good prices ruling for most classes of produce has imported a more buoyant tone to the farming community. Wheat. — First-class milling samples readily command 4s 6d to 4s 8d per bushel; medium, 4s to 4s 4d ; chick faed, 3s 6d to 3s Bd. Oats.—First-class feed are worth from 2s 5d to 2s 7d ; seed samples, 2s 8d to 2s 9d ; best milling, 2s 8d to 2s lOd. Barley. — The supply is bare , prime malting samples would realise 6s 6d per bushel ; medium to good is worth 4s 6d to 6s ; feed parcels, 2a 3d to 3s. Potatoes.—The demand-during the week has decreased, the tone of firmness which was in existence last week having receeded. "Holders being now more auxious to quit, £3 10s to £3 12s 6d are the outside values obtainable; -early potatoes of the best qualities are in demand at £9 to £10 per ton. * Grass Seed.—Little or no business doing. The supply is very full, while the demand is only moderate. First-class town dressed samples are worth 5s 6d to 5s 9d ; fair fanners' cleaned, 4s 6d to ss. Cheese and Butter. —Good keg butter is in good demand, with little or none offering. Any -parcel coming forward of good quality would meet with a ready sale at at from 9d to lOd per lb. Cheese is saleable at from 6d to Qid per lb.
