STOCK AND STATIONS.
At the Addington yards on Wednesday, 5593 sheep, 257 head of cattle, and 94 pigs came forward. Sheep.—The bulk of the fat sheep consisted of fair to good quality lots of crossbred with a good proportion of prime quality lots, for which the following prices were oblained : best pens and heavy weights, from 13s 6d to 14s 9d ; good do, from lis to 12s 9d ; fair quality and light weights, from 9s to 10s Od. Some prime pens/jf fat merinos realised 9s 6 d each. We quote per Ib as an average for fat sheep. Cattle. —The fat cattle yarded consisted of sojne prime quality pens, bu 1 : the bulk was not up to the usual average, being principally half and three-quarter fat. For prime quality pens the biddings were spirited. We quote 30s per lOOlbs as an average for this description, and 27s Gd per lOOlbs for second quality.
