CORN EXCHANGE REPORT.

The following is the report of the Corn Exchange for the week ending Friday evening, August 15:— Wheat. —Milling is saleable at from 4s to 4s 4d, chick wheat, at 3s 3d to 3s 7d per bushel. The market closed firm at these rates. Oats. —Prime milling oats are worth 2s 8d to 2s 9d per bushel; feed, 2s Gd to 2s 7d per bushel. Malting Barley.—First-class malting is worth 5s 9*l to 6d per bushel ; medium, 4s od to 5s Gd. Barley for feed purposes is saleable at 2s Gd to 3s Gd per bushel. Potatoes. —The market has an upward tendency. Blue Derwents are free of sale .at £3 10s to £3 12s Gd per ton ; kidney potatoes are in very short supply, and extrome rates rule ; prime lots are worth £9 to illO per ton. Grass Seed. —The market is well supplied. There is an increased demand, holders are looking for better rates. Firstclass and in good condition is worth 5s Gd to 5s 9d per bushel; farmers cleaned 4s 6d to 5s per bushel. Cheese and Butter.—The demand arid supply are equal, prices for the former Gd per 1& ; t and for the latter 8d to 9d per lb.
