CORN EXCHANGE REPORT.
The following is the report of the Corn Exchange for the week ending Friday evening, June 13 : — The wheat market shows great firmness. Parcels are enquired for and much wanted for export, besides a good local demand. Although the advance in price is not very marked, the feeling strongly points to higher rales ruling. The few farmers who hold stocks seem bent on holding. Wheat. —Tho 'market closes firm at 3s Gd to 3s 7d, medium, 3s 4d to 3s 5d ; chick wliaat, 2s 10d to 3s. Oats. —Prime milling samples are held for 2s 9d to 2s 10d, good feed 2s Gd to 2s 7d, inferior qualities 2s 4d to 2s sd. Barley.—First-class malting will command 5s 6d to 5s 9d ; medium, 4s to 5s ; feed quality, 3s to 8s Gd. Potatoes. — Good samples are selling here in small lots at £3 lUss to £3 15s per ton, at country stations, 'bags extra, for large parcels for delivery taken, or higher rates would have to be paid. Grass Seed. —Tho market is still in the same state, No business doing; prices nominal. Cheese- and But'cr.—G 1 to for the former, lOd to lid for the latter, with a plentiful supply.
