STOCK AND STATIONS.
At the Addington yards on Wednesday 5795 sheep, 195.head of cattle and 59 pigs were yarded. The opening of the sheep sale commenced with a downward tendency compared to last week's prices, but after a few lots were-disposed of the bidding became more spirited. Best quality fat sheep sold as high as 14s 6'd each. We quote If d per lb as an average for butcher's lines (Jattle.— The cattle penned comprised a merliuin lot of beef and a few pens of good quality lots, the bulk of which changed bauds" at fair prices, < for which we quote 2Gs per lOOlbs as an average, and 27s 6d per lUOlbs for best pens. Stores.—A few lots changed, hands at last week's rates.
