STOCK AND STATIONS.
The weather during the past week has been very favourable for the pastures and ploughing stubble lands, but there has not been sufficient rain to enable the ploughs to work freely in lea lands or for breaking up new ground. At Addington, on Wednesday last 4893 sheep and lambs, 143 head cattle, and 106 pigß were yarded for the week. Fat Bheep were again brought forward in excess of trade requirements, consequently there was but little competition, and no improvement in prices on last week's quota tions. Fat cattle in fair supply, and the bulk to hand were good, useful quality, one or two lines, which found purchasers privately, being very superior. The prices realized by auction would be equal to about 22s to 23s for best quality. Inferior, 20s to 21s. Pigs in brisk demand at from 3£d to 4d for best porkerß. Store stock, but little brought forward, there being no improvement in the demand.
