FROM THE LYTTELTON TIMES. Christchurch, Friday Evening. GRAIN AND PRODUCE. Transactions in all descriptionsof cereals during the week have been on the most limited scale. '-' Wheat.—Quotations rein airi aboutforme. figures, with no great enquiry, 3s 3d to 3s 4d for average milling ia about the value. Choice aqd seed parcels command a trifle over these rates. Chick wheat is in good request, and any parcels coming forward are readily saleable. Oats.—Prices here may be quoted without change—2a 6d to 2s 7d for feed, and 2b 8d to 2s 9d for milling lots. Barley.—First-class is quoted at 5s 6d to 58 9d. Other qualities range between 3s 9d to ss. Potatoes.—-The business passing under review is not extensive, and the lots purcha*sed are speedily cleared. Sales that have been made have been at 60s to 67s 6d. Flour has been in moderate request in trade lots at £8 to £9. Grass Seed.-—The market just now is completely stagnant, and likely from all appearances to remain so for some time to come. Dairy Produce.—Butter is still quoted at lOd to lid, cheese 6d to 6£d ; hams and bacon unaltered.
