CORN EXCHANGE REPORT.
The following is the Cera Exchange report for the week ending Friday evening :— The grain market during last week has been characterised by the same dulness which has been the reigning feature of it since the season began.
Wheat. — First-class milling wheat readily commands 3s 4d per bushel; fair to medium, 3s 2d to 3s.
Oats. —Prime milling samples will command 3s ; feed qualities, 2s 9d to 2s 10d. Barley.—Prime samples may be quoted at 6s; inferior to second rate, 4s 9d to 5s 4d per bushel. Potatoes.—There is little to note in the absence of export operations. The supply is fully equal to local demand. Sales haA r e bsen effected at £3 15s to £4 10s per ton, according to sample condition, with a fair local trade doing.
Grass Seed.—There has been more enquiry this week- Quotations are unchanged; good clean samples, machine dressed, are worth 5s 6d to 6s; superior town dressed, 6s 6d to 6s 9d; cocksfoot, 6£d to 7cl per lb.
Cheese and Butter.—Prices have suffered a slight decline ; for the former 6d to 6£d, and the latter 10£ dto lid.
