STOCK AND STATIONS.

Despite the floods that are occurring in various parts of the Colony, causing an immense amount .of damage in some districts, the seaboard of this province generally is greatly in want of rain, and there is a feeling of uneasiness that last year's drought may be repeated. Rain is most anxiously looked for, both by agriculturists and graziers. So far no very serious inconvenience is experienced, but the forward spring we have been favoured with up to the present, will not be maintained without rain. The heavy showers yesterday will have done a great deal of good, but more is wanted. On Wednesday 6624 sheep, 655 head of cattle, and 52 pigs were brought forward for the week.

Sheep.—There were a few lines of exceptionally good butchers' sheep, both in the wr>ol and shorn, yarded, which did not ii'.ke prices equal to last week, and a drop or' from 3s to 4s per headjwas experienced. Prime shorn sheep made equal to about 2-Jkl, in the wool 3d. A large proportion of store sheep were brought forward, the most of which cleared sit fair prices.
