GRAIN AND PRODUCE.
Business in the grain trade has continued very quiet since our last report, with little disposition shown to operate beyond what is actually required to fill orders in hand. Not much change can be noted in the values of nearly all the lines, the prices being almost identical with last week's quotations. In some districts rain is badly wanted, the late continued nor' west weather having counteracted in a measure the benificial effects of the occasional downpours with which the country has been favoured during the last fortnight or three weeks. Oats—Feed quality are worth 3s lid to 4s Id ; milling, 4s 2d. Potatoes —Have been quitted at best rates offering. It is exceedingly difficult in the present state of the market to quote, but prices range between 45s and 50s. Flour—Tho demand for flour continues excessively dull. Millers still name £9 5s to £10. Grass Seed —The enquiry during the week has remained quiet, buyers holding off until the chances of re-sowing are more determinable. Rye grass is still quoted at Gs 3d to 7s for good seed. Cocksfoot 7d. Dairy Produce —The market is still unaltered.
