SHOOTING IN THE DOMAIN.
To the Editor of the Akaroa Mail
Sir, —I beg to call the attention of the police, through your paper, to what I should suppose must be an unlawful, and Which at any rate is a most dangerous, practice ; I mean shooting in the Domain grounds. Yesterday afternoon while taking a walk in the Domain, a gun went off not many yards from where I stood. I saw only the dog, so that I could not say who fired the shot. Had I, as was proposed to me., taken my walk where the hunter evidently was, I should have run a great risk. I trust such senseless recklessness as I have called attention to, may be promptly and effectually stopped. Yours, &c., A VISITOR.
