STOCK AND STATIONS.
At Addington, on Wednesday, 3840 sheep, 243 head of cattle, and 49 pigs were yarded.
Sheep.—Though a comparative small supply forward, there was not any improvement in prices, and extreme dulness characterised the bidding. A few lines were taken up for boiling-, otherwise there would have been large withdrawals, or a more .serious drop in prices. Sheep for boiling inado from Id to ; butchers', from l£d to lfd.
Beef. — A large supply of medium quality to hand which was cleared at a, reduced price. Top quality made equal to from 25s to 2£s ; medium 21s to 235.
Store Stock of all descriptions on! quitted with difficulty at reduced prices.
The land sales on Thursday and at the adjourned sitting: to-day amounted to 9463 acres 33 perches, as follows :—Ashley, 905 ; Sehvyn, 44a 2r; Akaron, 665 ; Ashhurton. 28u'3a 3r ; GenUdine, 939 a3r 33p ; Waimate, 3139 : town of Ashburton, 2r; town of South Rakaia, 2r; realising £19,129 ss.
