Mr C. W. Bridge reports that at his sale in the Town Hall, on Saturday, April 27, the following lots of land, being the balance of the Taka Matua estate, were sold 32, containing 62 acres, to Mr ■Sunckell, at £10 per acre : lot 34, 2G acres 28 perches, to Mr Morgan, at £10 ; lot 33, 40 acres 1 rood 2 perches, to Mr Fenton, at £11 11s; lot 4, 3G aeies 0 roods 2 perches, to Mr Duxbury, at £14; lot 26, 36 acres 0 roods 20 perches, to Mr Nalder, at £11 15a ; Jot 1, 30 ncres, to Mr Heath, at £8 ; lot 21, 4 acres 1 rood 6 perches, to Mr Johnson, at £15; lots 22 to 25, 21 acres 2 roods, to Mr Duxbiiy at £14 15s. Immediately after the sale of land, the furniture sale commenced, ami bidding continued brisk until the last was sold.
FROM THE LYTTELTON TIMES. Christchureh, Friday Evening. GRAIN AND PRODUCE. Flour. —No change has taken place, and a fair business is reported at last week's quotations. Potatoes. —Purchases are being made at 45a, and even a shade more is being given for immediate delivery. Dairy Produce.— Butter is dull, at 7£d to 7|d. Cheese, 4£d to sd.
