PIGEON BAY ROAD ROARD.

Novemreu 3, 1877,

Present—All the members, Mr Gellespie in the chair.

Mr Thomas Mcintosh interviewed the Board re a road to Mcintosh Bay. On hearing Mr Hay's report as to the difficult nature of work, the Board re-considered the matter, and on Mr Mcintosh offering to form the road for three pounds per chain, and keep the road in good repair for twelve months after completion of contract, Mr Budna proposed, and Mr McKay seconded, that Mr Mcintosh's offer be accepted.

Mr Hay proposed to have the old road to Kay's Gully stopped in accordance with the Public Works Act 1876. It was resolved to have the same advertised in the Akaroa Mail, and notices put up at each end of the road proposed to be stopped.

The Board's attention was drawn to the dilatory manner in which the gorse is being removed oposite Miss Marshall's property on the main road. The chairman was instructed to write to the Misses Marshall on the matter, as the Board wished to have the road repaired. Attention was also drawn to the bad state of the road known as Haines' Track. The chairman was instrncted to write to the Wainui and Akaroa Road Board on the matter.

It was resolved to have the road to Cross' property (new diversion) formed at once, and advertised in the usual manner, tenders to be sent in not latter than Saturday 17th inst, ■-~-/ The chairman was instructed to communicate with the executors of the late Mr Cook re a road through their property in Decanter Bay and if those gentlemen did not reply (this being the second application) to take steps to force a road in accordance with the Public Works Act 187 G.

An account was received from Mr Kuudson for repairs to jetty and ordered to be paid. The Board then adjourned.
