A meeting of the Library Committee was held at the Library, on Wednesday evening, January 25th. The members present were Messrs Reynolds, (Chairman) E. Powrie, M. Fitton, W. Joblin, and S. Harris. Mr. Powrie called the attention of the Committee to the very unsatisfactory state of the road leading to the Library, and proposed—" That the road should be repaired and fenced." Mr. W. Also to get doors made for book-cases, and that the Library building be painted." The motion was seconded by Mr. Fitton, and carried. The treasurer reported having received Government Grant of £10, and had placed the same to the credit of the Board. Also having received 113 books in good order, from Mudie & Co., of London.
