• The following business of local interest was transacted at last meeting of the Otago Waste Lands Board : The warden forwarded a report on the application by John Colling for an occupation lease under " The Mining Districts Land Occupation Act, 1894," over 100 acres in block IV, Blackstone district.—As the warden's report was unfavorable, it was decided to refuse the application, R Gilkison wrote on behalf of Miss M E Sinnamon, lessee of sections 12 and 14, block iv, Tiger Hill district, who had been called upon to show cause why her occupation-with-right-of-purchase license should not be forfeited for her non-compliance with the residence and improvement conditions—lt was decided to give Miss Sinnamon a further period of three months in which to carry out the conditions of her lease. The following application to exchange occupation-with-right-of-pur-chase license, for a lease in perpetuity was also granted.—o R P 31,, section 19, block,?, Lauder district, Archibald Brown.
