Montgomery's Entertainers.
Montgomery's Entertainers, who appear in the Town Hall, Alexandra, on Saturday, April 25, are a company who may well, indeed, be termed the people's favourites, and are always received with bumper houses on the occasion of their visits to our town Their biograph novelties embrace all the champion acts of the world. Little Tich in his big boot dance is an exceedingly funny act, and is highly original. " lae greatest horizontal bar performers on. earth are the marvellous Lukens. Their act is really sensational and perilous. The famous Willie Bros , the champion head-balancers of the world, are also to be seen in another sensational act, and the Four Lotto's world-re. nowned bicycle act is one to be seen and ever remembered. Beautiful pictures are shown of a train ride through Switzerland, giving a splendid idea of this really picturesque and interesting country. A brilliant fire rescue scene, a marvel of animated photography, is alone worth witnessing, and the stag hunt on the river Bse depicts a thrilling experience of huntsmanship, Irene Latour, and her wonderful dog Zara, the most extraordinary picture ever exhibited, is illustrative of an act of contortion that has made the world marvel. Pictures of the Great Durbar at Delhi will also be shown, and there is a strong vaudeville combination with Mr Montgomery, including seveial new artists, chief among whom are Miss Ettie Hargood, a brilliant soprano; Bob Hall, a prince of comedians; and Tom Shaw-Valentine, expert operator and' electrician. Mr Geo. Oathro, the touring manager, informs us that the same magnificent scale of excellence as that observed during the company's recent successful season in Dunedin will be displayed here on Saturday night.
