GOLF.

1 The Aloxandra Golf .Club held the opening match of the season on Thursday afternoon last, when a combined foursome match was played. Some i nine pairs took part, and at the conclusion of the match Mrs Mackio and Mr Grimstono (with a handicap of 10) were returned as the winners, their gross score being 70. Mrs Ross and Mr Paterson (15) secured second place with a score of 77, whilst Miss Hameron and Mr Bartholomew (17) ran into third place with a score of 80. Mr and Mrs Young, playing from scratch, put up the very creditable score of 09.
