A New Comet.
Mr Grigg, Thames astronomer, has discovered a new telescopic comet near the horizon a little south of west in the constellation Eridanus. In one day it has moved about l|deg E.S.E. Until further observations are made no judgment can be formed as to the orbit, or the probability of its increasing in size and brilliancy. Mr Grigg has also succeeded in finding the comet which has recently passed round behind the sun, found in January last by Mr Geacobini, at Nice, and observed for several weeks in the northern hemisphere. It is now in the S.S.W., moving southward, in the constellation of the Phoenix, approaching tbe earth, and may shortly be visible to the unaided eye*
