ESCAPED LEOPARD

Found Asleep In Zoo Corridor NEW YORK, Feb. 2S. The superintendent of Oklahoma City Zoo announced early to-day that the fugitive leopard had returned to the zoo and was now asleep in his old pit from knockout drops placed in a horsemeat bait.

The leopard leaped to freedom from the pit on Saturday and hundreds of armed men had been searching for him. The leopard was found asleep in a corridor of the zoo leading to his old pit. Doped meat that had been placed along a trail leading to the corridor was missing.

Zoo officials believe that last night’s heavy rain drove the animal back to the zoo.
