ASHBURTON CLUB AND M.S.A.
DECISIONS AT ANNUAL
MEETING There was a good attendance of members of the Ashburton Club and M.S.A. at the annual meeting last night. The president, -Mr K. S. Johnston, presided. The annual report and balance sheet were adopted. Mr W. H. Woods was re-elected members’ auditor. , Mr W. H. Sarney was elected a trustee in place of Mr F. B. Robilliard, who resigned. Previously the trustees, three in number, were elected and remained in office at the pleasure of the club, but as a result of a decision made last night, the trustees in future will retire by rotation each year, and this will necessitate the election annually of one trustee. A requisition, signed by a number of members, was presented to the meeting requesting the restoration of the lounge service in place of the present tray service. After discussion it was decided to retain the present tray service.
