A sentence of six months’ imprisonment was imposed on Gordon Windsor Pankhurst, aged 34, a racehorse trainer, by Mr Justice Kennedy in the Supreme Court at Invercargill this morning. Pankhurst was yesterday found guilty of being in charge of a motor-truck while intoxicated, and by some act or omission causing injury qo Allison Crawford MeCrostie. His Honour cancelled Pankhurst’s driving licence and disqualified him from obtaining another for three years from the date of conviction and thereafter until the Court orders removal of the disqualification.
